Day 15: Perfect Princess day
Good news! Georgie woke up feeling great! What a relief. We started out early at the MK Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. G had been planning for awhile to be a "pinkalicious" princess... pink from head to toe.
By now Georgie is an absolute pro at being BBB'd!

After that we were off to the Grand Floridian for the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party. We were running a bit late which is always a bit stressful. Then, when we arrived, we were told that we didn't have a reservation... what!!! I made that stinking reservation six months earlier. Fortunately we were able to straighten it all out pretty quickly and Georgie and I were escorted in to begin our mommy/daughter afternoon.

As we were seated G saw her Disney princess doll! She loved it!!
When she popped open her napkink, she found another surprise... a sweet little silver bracelet :-)
G was chosen to help lead a dance and sing a song. Georgie loves being the center of attention so this was super fun for her. I think her being chosen may have been partially to make up for the mix up at check in... whatever, worked for me/1
Georgie was actually singing her doll a little song. So sweet!

After tea and snacks we had a visit by the original pink princess... Sleeping Beauty!

Afterward, we returned to MK so we could visit with the princesses. What is this? Yet another Sleeping Beauty!!

On our way out we ran into Mary Poppins in her winter coat! So fun! We've seen Mary many, many times but never in her winter coat... silly, I know.
During the trip, G discovered a smoothie stand near the teacups. She was hooked!
We were back to the Polynesian for dinner. We loved the Ohana dinner last time and were pleased to see that the food was just as good on this visit. The only bummer was that they didn't have the coconut races and games for the kids like they did last time. We were told that those would be done a few hours later. It was too long for us to wait. Wish I would have known, may have booked at another time or for another day.

Tomorrow: last day :-(

Day 3: Day at Sea
Got up early and hit the buffet for some breakfast. I do love lox eggs benedict…yum! After that we went straight to the pool. We wanted to try the water slide ride Aqua Duck before it got too crowded. It’s this giant tube that you ride through on a raft. Visually it’s a must. When you walk out on the pool deck its impossible to miss. After riding it, I’d classify it as fun but not enough so that I’d be willing to wait more than the about 10 mins that we did. G really liked it though and says she wants to do it again. We spent the next couple hours watching G swim in the Mickey pool and go down the water slide about a kagillion times, sorta watching a Tinker Bell movie on Funnel Vison --the giant poolside movie screen which is awesome!—and catching some rays.

After a quick shower we were off to Georgie’s Bibbity Bobbity Boutique appointment! We brought a Cinderella’s Wedding Dress with us that I’d purchased from the Disney website. It was gorgeous and pretty uncommon. G was definitely the only kid on the ship with that dress today and that’s saying something because you see a LOT of princess dresses :-) G looked awesome and very royal just in time for the Princess Gathering in the lobby. It’s a pretty great meet and greet because you get 6 princesses but there is a time investment of about an hour. That’s longer than I’m usually willing to wait but for 6 princesses I guess it’s ok.

While we were in line G was being uncommonly grouchy and moody. Normally she’s super happy go lucky and I was pretty surprised. After a bit it occurred to me… we had forgotten to feed her YIKES!!! Slacker mom (and dad but I’ll take the blame here). I felt so bad. Bobby rushed and grabbed her a granola bar to hold her over from the princess thing to lunch and she happied up considerably. G is just not a kid who can miss a meal. After the princess palooza we headed straight to a very late lunch and her mood improved dramatically. Whoo!

Next stop was a matinee performance of the Aladdin stage show which was wonderful. We then hit a couple more characters before realizing that Bobby and I needed to get ready for formal night. We gussied ourselves up, G switched into yet another princess dress we brought along with us, and away we went. Per my request, our dining rotation placed us in the Royal Court restaurant which is the most formal of the dining options. The room itself is very nice but not nearly as pretty as the Enchanted Garden where we ate the night before. Again, the food was very good. All three of us chose beef medallions and shrimp as a main course and finished it off with dessert: Mickey bars for G and me and Bobby had a strawberry shortcake sundae :-)

By that time, G was chomping at the bit to hit the kids club again so after dropping her off we wandered the ship awhile… alone time! It always feels so strange.

Our FGIT (Fairy Godmother in Training) was very sweet. She loved G's dress and said she'd never seen one on the ship. G naturally pulls her dress out for pix. Its so funny!

What is she thinking??

This is pretty much how happy G looks during the entire makeover process. She really likes it!

Ahhhh!

Aladdin in his Prince Ali costume. The line for the princesses was kind of long so he interacted with the kids during the wait. Disney is very prepared.

This is G's "I'm hungry and not enjoying myself face". I know right? she means business

Is this not one of the most beautiful bathrooms you've ever seen? The ceiling is mirrored. Pretty to look at but I'm afraid I might get stage fright in there ;-)

Formal photo with Capt Mickey. I just loved G's Tiana dress... gorgeous but she complained about it itching so she ditched it right after dinner. Bummer because it was a custom. They're usually better but not this one apparantly.

The second later in the evening. I don't think you can tell from the pic but the dress is fully beaded. Gorgeous!

Fairy Godmother in Training strikes again!
G just did the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique (BBB) at WDW in Orlando a few weeks ago. Normally we wouldn't do something like this again so soon. But our friends, Sophie and Paula, are going to be moving in a few weeks and Sophie had never done BBB. She'd also never been to the princess meal at Calif Adventure so, what the heck!! we joined them for the fun.

The park opened at 8am and G and I were inside by 8:05. Off to ride Peter Pan and Dumbo and then meet P and S at the BBB soon after.
The girls prior to being BBB'd

We brought our outfit with us this time, Jasmine from Alladin. We added shoes (they were so cute! and looked much more comfortable than most princess shoes). After changing into the costume, G's transformation began. I was surprised to see that we got Virginia who was our FGIT when G first did BBB on her 3rd birthday.

G's hair is long so it took awhile to get it all up in a bun. G chose the "Diva" look because it results in long hair. Sophie chose the same!

Virginia took a long time fixing, fluffing and teasing G's "hair"

The brochure picture of the "diva" look showed two rhinestone clippies instead of a tiara. I'm not sure if they were out of clippies or what but both the girls were able to choose a tiara. I think G was happy with the outcome! Besides every princess needs a tiara, right?

After the hair came make up, nail polish and choice of ring.

Finally "bibbity bobbity boo" and a significant sprinkling of pixie dust and it was time for the big reveal...

Ta duh!!! Introducing Princesses Sophie and Georgiana!!!

There are some things that are better at wdw than at disneyland but BBB, overall, is not one of them. The wdw room is fancier for sure but DL's reveal is so much better! Its super cute when the spin the girls around in the seat, pull back the curtains and finally let the girls see their princess self. The mirror has little lights that sparkle. Adorable!

The other thing that's better at DL is the photo opportunity afterward. At wdw they do take pix and the area is nice --pretty background, small upholstered bench-- but nothing special. DL has a Cinderella's coach which is the cutest thing ever. G actually didn't remember it from last time which was not surprising because she had only just turned three so when she saw it this time she was really excited.

See? Cute. I would have eaten this up when I was four.

We had enough time to take advantage of lots of photo opportunties

Ride the carousel

And make a team effort at pulling the sword from the stone. The tried really,

really,

really,

really,

really,

really, really hard!!! Unfortunately, they couldn't get it to budge. I've heard that the CMs have a button they can push to release the sword... wouldn't that be awesome!

On our way to make our regular visit to Snow White's pond or fountain or whatever it is, we found Peter Pan just chilling with hardly anyone around.

G loves this little area next to castle. She always asks me to take her picture here. As always, I love her poses

I just stand there and watch her go

G saw this swan topiary and said "mama, mama, look!! take my picture" then she hopped up on the bench and got herself set up with her chosen legs-to-the-side pose. I was just about to snap the shot when she stopped me, asked for her glasses and explained she needed them so "I don't look all squinty from the sun" HAHA!!! I almost died laughing. That little girl cracks me up.

We made our way over to CA Adventure and saw Avaitor Minnie hanging out by Soarin'. It seems she's probably a regular there but I'd never seen her.

Finally we were checked in for AG and our princess lunch! G and I have been a number of times but it was Sophie's first time. It was fun to share it with her.

Ahhh, three happy, pretty princesses!

Fun day!
