Love you!!!
Today was one of those heart melting days. This morning after I finished doing my hair and makeup for work --which is normally done with G sitting on the counter in front of me playing with assorted combs, lotions, and blush brushes-- I asked G if she was ready to go downstairs and get dressed to go "bye bye"
G shook her head and said "yeah" and I put my arms out to her. She gave me a smile, jumped into my arms, gave me the BIGGEST hug ever and said "Lub you!" I almost cried. Of course, we tell G "love you" all the time and she pretty much always responds with a "lub you" back but, this was the very first time she said it on her own.
What a sweet and beautiful girl we have!

Beach baby!!!
Its that time of month again... our August calendar pix!!! August was a hot, hot month around here so I thought we'd go with a summer/beach theme. I found G a super cute mermaid dress with the matching flip flops and hat. G's been slightly uncooperative the last couple times I took her for her pix so the trick is to figure out how to keep her cheerful for 20 mins or so while they snap her picture. I started out with the flip flops. G loves shoes. I mean really, really loves them. She loves my shoes, her shoes, Brett and Casey's shoes... whatever. When she caught sight of those flip flops she was very excited and was dying to put them on. But, I told her they were special and she could wear them later and up on the shelf they went. Every day for a week she'd look at those shoes and say "peaze?" and I'd always smile and tell her "later."
Once we got to the picture place, I dressed her and at the very. last. moment. I put on her shoes. She was soooo happy!!! She wiggled her little feet and stomped up and down a little. Smiley girl!! You know, for about 5 mins anyway. I'll tell you what, it is hard work getting little G to smile for her pix. Its weird too because at home she is a happy, silly, smiling, giggly little girl. We get to the studio, still great and happy. Then she sees the camera and pretty much all bets are off.
But this time, all our tricks worked and we got some really cute shots!!! Once again, just ignore the watermark.

Turtle, turtle!!
Bobby had to work this morning so G and I decided to take the opportunity to have breakfast with my oldest friend, Tressy. I've known Tressy since I was about 13 yrs old or so... I'm old, so that's a pretty long time :-)
We talk regularly on the phone but, although we only live a few miles apart, we rarely see each other. Its really a bummer but between work, kids and other stuff, it can be tough for either of us to find time. Anyway, it was nice to visit in person and after breakfast we stopped by Tressy's house so G could see her pets which include 4 little tiny dogs, two kitties, a couple fish tanks, and a turtle. G really liked the turtle and spent quite a bit of time following it around the backyard. Surprisingly, that little turtle walked pretty quickly!
Luckily, Tressy thought to snap a few pix! The necklace she's wearing is the one that came with her Kai Lan "happy" doll. She's been wanting to wear it a lot lately. Its really quite large for a little girl. G always has to have a little bling!

Bad Blogger. Bad, bad blogger...
Its true, I've been a very bad blogger. I promise to be better :-)
We've been super busy doing all kinds of things. I did my vacation as five 4 day weekends in a row! It was really nice to have 4 days at a time with G and the 3 day work weeks went by incredibly fast. It was a little difficult to avoid falling behind while only working tuesday thru thursday, but totally worth it. Bobby joined us for a few 4 day weekends also. It was nice just to do nothing much at all other than go to the park, swim in the pool, go out to eat and a few day trips.
Georgiana continues to progress at a fantastic rate. She's still a really good eater with her favorite food being strawberries. She loves them!!! She really loves all kinds of fruit including oranges, blueberries, rasberries, bananas, etc. We went to lunch and my meal came with a whole apple. She kept saying "apple, apple, apple" so I gave it to her thinking she'd gnaw on it a little. I didn't think she'd make too much progress. Darn if that kid wasn't able to chomp about half the apple!!! With an almost full set of teeth I guess she can eat just about anything and she does.
Georgiana's favorite thing to do is still going to the park. When she goes with mommy she gets to sit in the sand and dig with her sand toys all she wants. When she goes with daddy she goes on the slide more cuz daddy doesn't like her to get all sandy. In his defense, she does get INCREDIBLY sandy but I don't care too much.
Her favorite toys are her puzzles, blocks and her new pink ride on car. The car was purchased to be an outside toy but she likes to sit in it so much we haven't actually taken it outside yet. Instead, she has one of us push her around like she's a queen. If you stop you here "gin, gin, gin" with a hard "g" (again) over and over and over until you give in and do what she wants.
A few weeks ago, we made another day trip up to Arrowhead for lunch and to feed the ducks. The last time we did that was right after we came home and she had no understanding of throwing the bread out for the ducks. Instead she kept shoving it in her mouth. This time, she totally got it and would try her very hardest to throw the bread as far as she could. Of course as far as G could turned out to be about a foot or so but whatever!!!! The village area is really cute and has a super small ride area and a playground. Once G caught sight of the train she started saying "choo choo???" "choo choo?" over and over again. We were a little nervous to let her ride cuz she needed to go by herself. I thought I'd put her on it and start to walk away and she'd fuss but guess what?? she didn't. She rode the train a few times all on her own and LOVED it!!! I think she could have ridden the train all day. After that G had her first taste of cotton candy --one of my favorites. Surprisingly she wasn't as impressed with it as I am... this is probably a good thing.
Both Brett and Casey have been working at their summer jobs at the mall and they'll be going back to school in about 4 weeks. G loves them so much. I'm afraid she's going to miss them terribly while they're gone.
Here are some recent pix of our beautiful girl.
G in one of her uber cute swim suits. I love this one Picked it up for $10 from the Crazy 8 summer sale.
Georgie's pensive look. Actually I'm not sure she's thinking much other than "will you please not take my picture anymore"
This pic was actually taken when we went to the Moonridge Animal Park in Big Bear a few weeks ago. There were quite a few bears there and you could get pretty close to them. It was cool that day and they were quite active. Two of them started play fighting and it got really loud, that was pretty cool. Other than that there wasn't too much to see there but it was good for an hour and a half or so.
Georgie in her new little car! She's such a silly little girl!
G on the choo choo in Arrowhead. As you can see it was the most beautiful day! It cracked me up because G really didn't smile while she was on the train but she really loved it.
